East End Food Brings the Food We Grow to the People Who Need It

The East End has something special: generations of farmers and food producers growing exceptional food, and communities that care deeply about where their food comes from.

Yet right here, alongside that abundance, many of our neighbors struggle to put healthy food on the table. They are seniors on fixed incomes, families stretching every paycheck, and children who count on school meals.

Having farms nearby and neighbors in need does not automatically bring the two together. Someone has to build that link. For more than a decade, that has been the work of East End Food.

We Turn Local Harvests Into Ready-to-Use Food

Our East End Food Hub kitchen prepares, processes, and packages fresh produce from local farms. Cafeterias, pantries, and meal programs can use that food right away. Most farms can’t process food at scale, and most institutions can’t handle raw harvests. Our kitchen fills that gap.

We Get It to the Neighbors Who Need It Most

We already supply local produce to schools and food pantries, but the need is far greater. Across the East End, 28 pantries, senior centers, schools, and community partners are ready for local food. Our kitchen gives us the capacity to reach them.

Every Purchase Helps a Farm Thrive

When a partner buys local food through us, it feeds people. It also brings revenue to a farm, supports agricultural jobs, and keeps food dollars in our region.

Our 2026 End-of-Year Campaign goal is $450,000. Thanks to committed supporters, $200,000 is already pledged. Now we need to raise the final $250,000 by December 31 to get across the finish line.
